These terms are the agreement between you and XConnect for use of the XConnect apps and the optional sync service. Installing or using XConnect means you accept them. They also serve as the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the App Store and Google Play versions.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use XConnect on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, sublicense it, rent it out, or redistribute it as your own product.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
XConnect connects to servers you choose. You are responsible for having the right to access them, for what you run on them, and for the consequences. A remote shell and a remote desktop are powerful things: commands you run — including ones suggested or executed by the AI assistant at your direction — are your commands.
Do not use XConnect to access systems you are not authorised to access.
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials safe: sync data is end-to-end encrypted and derived from them, so we cannot recover it if they are lost. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.
XConnect's core is free, with no account required. Pro unlocks additional capability — including remote desktop (RDP), the AI assistant, the script library and additional jump hosts — and removes free-tier limits.
You may point sync at a server you operate. You are then responsible for that server's availability, security and backups, and these terms cover only the client software.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the sync service, and we may change pricing for future purchases. Where a change materially reduces what you already paid for, we will say so in advance. The local, offline capability of the app does not depend on our servers.
If you use the AI assistant, you supply your own API key and your requests go to the provider you chose, under that provider's terms. Sign-in with Apple, Google or GitHub is likewise governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
XConnect is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or damage to systems you connect to. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may stop using XConnect at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, in particular use of the software to access systems without authorisation.
For the iOS app: this agreement is between you and XConnect, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
